We are fortunate at PAWS to have a very experienced and skilled team of Veterinary Nurses.
We currently have 9 qualified Veterinary Nurses - these are identified by their green uniforms and VN badges. All our RVN's are registered (hence the "R") with the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS).
If you are looking for information about becoming a Veterinary Nurse, visit their site, or that of the British Veterinary Nursing Association (BVNA).
We are currently a Training Practice for student veterinary nurses and have an additional student VN 'in-training'.
In addition to thier general surgical nursing duties looking and looking after our in-patients our nurses also provide a free nurse clinic service to our clients. These clinics cover a number of diferent areas and many of our nurses have specific interests in these areas.
Topics our nurses can advise about and services they provide can include :
Please note that although all our nurses are fully qualified (and have received additional training for their PHC qualifications), nurses are not allowed to diagnose illness or prescribe medication. In this instance you will need to make an appointment with a veterinary surgeon, or will be referred to one.
