Nichola is our newest addition to the nursing team, joining us as our new Head VN in 2013.
Nichola has been nursing for 7 years and qualified from Bottle Green Training College in Derby in 2010. She went on to qualify as a clinical coach in 2011 and has been in small animal practice throughout.
She has an interest in critical care and training student nurses and curently lives in Leicester with her cat Elvis.
Liz joined us in 2009 having previously worked in the south of the county. Liz, also one of our Senior Nurses, qualified in 2004 from Morton Morrell college in Warwickshire. Like Nichola, in addition to her nursing qualification Liz is also a mentor for nursing trainees, having gained her training qualification in 2007. Liz's interests include emergency and critical care and weight clinics.
Liz looks after many of our weight clinic clients as a PHC and holds a senior nurse position in her surgical nursing capacity.
Anna, one of our Senior Nurses, has been nursing for over 13 years and been a qualified VN for over 9 of them having joined veterinary nursing from leaving school in 2000.
Anna gained her VN qualification from Rodbaston College in Staffordshire in 2004 and then worked in Wolverhampton.
After moving to Coventry, Anna then locumed until moving to PAWS in 2012.
Anna's interests are in medical nursing and client care.
Away from work Anna enjoys cake making and decorating and has recently become a caravan owner..
She lives with her 2 cats Oscar and Betty.
Becky is one of our longest serving members of staff having been with the practice for well over a quarter of a century!
Becky has been involved with training many new nurses over the years and is now responsible for running our in-house laboratory.
Kerry joined us from the West Midlands in 2010. Kerry is also a qualified Pet Health Councellor
Kerry recently passed her advanced nursing Diploma and is studying towards her nursing degree qualification and she is also a clinical mentor for our current trainee VN's.
Sarah joined us last year initially as a locum nurse to help with our maternity leave gap.
Sarah previously worked in a number of practices including referral centres.
Before qualifying as a veterinary nurse Jess gained a Diploma (1st !) in Animal Care and National Certificate in Animal Management.
In 2008 she joined the PDSA in Coventry where she gained her Vet Care Assistant qualification.
Jess then moved into practice in Rugby to start her veterinary nurse training before moving to PAWS in 2011 where she completed it to become the prowd owner of the certificates as shown and qualify as a VN in October 2012.
Her interests are in theatre nursing and anaesthesia.
To keep her busy in her spare time she has 2 horses and 2 dogs - Sparky, Storm, Ruby and Harvey, enjoys drawing and acting and driving though big rivers in her Land Rover.
Familiar to both our small and large animal clients having spent time on both reception and in our large animal office, Abi recently had the chance to transfer over to our nursing team and begin her VN training.
Elaine has worked at the practice since 1995 and has completed an Animal Nursing Auxiliary (ANA) course. Elaine says she enjoys her job immensely and enjoys working with animals of all types. "It's more of a hobby than a job", says Elaine. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her bunnies, and her 2 Labradoodles.
Natalie joined our nursing team last year.
After qualifing from Solihull College in Aug 2013 I went on to become a clinical coach to teach students in 2015.
My interests and hobbies are horse riding, socialising with friends and walking my dog.
My main interests are the equine side of nursing and surgury side of small animal.
Currently I have one dog called "lilly" and am hoping to get a horse again in the new year.
Hannah is the final memebr of our nursing team and joined us in the summer of 2016 After her qualification Hannah worked for a period in South Warwickshire.
Hannah has both dogs and horses and is a keen rider.
